She was predeceased by: her husband Clarence Rucker; her parents, Timothy McCowan and Arlice Moore McCowan; her stepmother Clemmie Hurst McCowan; and her siblings, William Houston, Frank Edward, Timothy Clemmie, Hubert Ray, Charlotte Josephine, Willie Frances, Clara Mae, Julia Ann of Eula Mae, J. L., Edna Mae Simpson and Anna Shields.
She is survived by: her siblings, Junior McCowan (Mattie), Chester McCowan, Dean Oggs (Melvin) and Pauline Mayotte (Jackie); her siblings-in-law, Chester Smith S. R., Jimmy Simpson, Richard Latham, Bertha Rucker of Gallatin, TN, Judy Ann McCowan, Margaret Arnwine (Wendell) and Clydean Liggett; her stepdaughters, Angela Long and Donna Sue Rucker; her nieces, Darlene Smith and Jackie Johnson (Ray); and her nephew Jimmy McCowan (Annette). She is also survived by nephews, nieces, cousins, and beloved friends.
