He was predeceased by: his parents, Willis Lee and Helen Durant Bowman; his siblings, Billy Lee Bowman and Betty Lee Bowman; and his granddaughter Ashley Benton.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Frances Burns; his brother John Bowman of Hixson; his children, Denise Benton (Michael) of Suisun, CA, Teresa Perkins (Darren) of Crimora, VA, Melissa Keith (Christopher) of Waynesboro, VA and Tracy Bowman (Kandice) of Cleveland, TN; and his grandchildren, Meghan Driver (Joel), Bianca Gamarra, Bliss Nuckols (Pickle), Christian Keith, April Palmer (Eric), Dakota Cunningham (Alexa), Amanda Sanders (Garrett), Savanna Craig (Cody), Matthew Bowman, Alissa Marion (Layton), Andrea Donaghy, Abigail Donaghy and Zachary Bowman. He is also survived by twenty great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
