We bid farewell to Gary Vernon of Cleveland, Tennessee, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on April 3, 2025 at the age of 76. Gary touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. He was predeceased by: his parents, Homer Vernon and Virginia Vernon; his grandparents, Julia and Art Headrick; his brothers, Larry Vernon and Richard Vernon; and his brother-in-law Bobby Lewis Ogle.
He is survived by: his daughters, Vanessa Short (Jason) and Shanna Howard; his siblings, Sandra Kay Ogle and Kenneth Fred Vernon (Patti); and his grandchildren, Addison Short, Conner Short and Colton Hobbs. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Calendar Companion Funeral Home "ridge" Chapel (2412 Georgetown Rd NW, Cleveland, TN 37311). A memorial service was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location.
