She was predeceased by: her parents, Andrew Bates and Vaudie Bates; and her husband Gary Ramsey. She is survived by: her children, Paula Poe (Allan) and Johnny Nix (Tina); her grandchildren, Stephanie Burgiss (Cody), Ryan Nix (Lindsey), Kelsey Nix and Jarred Poe; her siblings, Nellene Merrell, Clara Jean Dalton, Jr., J. C. Bates, Juanita Burgess and Kathy Hilbert; and her great grandchildren, Knox Burgiss, Paxxton Burgiss and Mallen Nix.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
