He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Powell and Nell Powell; and his wife Debbie Powell. He is survived by: his sons, Mitchell Powell (Jennifer) and Glen Powell; his granddaughter Crystal Rich; and his siblings, Donnie, David, Larry, Stevie Powell, Joann Herron and Sandra Wilcox. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, December 31st 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the JIM Rush Funeral and Cremation Services (220 Wildwood Ave, Cleveland, TN 37312). A graveside service was held on Tuesday, December 31st 2024 at 1:30 PM at the Samples Memorial Baptist Church Cemetery (371 Samples Chapel Rd SE, Cleveland, TN 37323).
