She was predeceased by: her husband Dwight Allen Hicks, Sr.; and her parents, Loyd Beaty of Cleveland and Mabel Beaty of Cleveland. She is survived by: her daughter Lisa Hicks Vincent; her son-in-law Tommy Vincent of Newport News, Virginia; her son Dwight Allen Hicks, Jr. of Cleveland; her grandchildren, Bryan Erwin, Sarah Hicks and Jacob Hicks; and her siblings, Terry L. Beaty (Tammy Beaty) of Cleveland and Karen Hamby (Dean Hamby) of Jefferson, Georgia. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Calendar Shenandoah Baptist Church (138 Osment Rd SE, Cleveland, TN 37323). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 from 3:30 PM to 4:00 PM.
In lieu of flowers the family has asked that donations be made to either Shenandoah Baptist Church, Cleveland, Tennessee; American Cancer Society; or Hospice of Chattanooga.
