With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Roberta Ogburn Allen (Clarksville, Tennessee), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 29, 2025 at the age of 74. She was predeceased by: her son Edward Allen Jr.; her grandson Dominique Ellis; and her siblings, Herbert Lee, Arthur, Willie, James Albert, Robert Lawrence, Sory and Joesph.
She is survived by: her children, Steven Allen (Katie) of Clarksville, TN, Melissa Singletary of Clarksville, TN, Eric Allen of Clarksville, TN, Crystal Allen (Jimbo Hughes) of Clarksville, TN and Robert Green of Beverly Hills, CA; her grandchildren, Kila Allen, Libra Taylor, Chaqulla Allen Wynn, S. Lachelle Allen, Rudy Singletary, D'Andre Allen, Bryant Jr., Christopher Allen, Ariana Allen, Demond Allen, Zo Turner, Marisha Allen, Jaden Allen, Nabraia Allen, ZaMarius McLendon, Jamarkious McLendon, Jasmyne Hughes and Arrianna Hughes; and her siblings, Lucille Darden, Ruth Fort, Josephine Waller, Eugene Ogburn (Linda), Charles Ogburn (Linda), Harold Ogburn (Jeannie), Raymond Ogburn and John Ogburn. She is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 7th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Foston Funeral Home (816 Franklin St, Clarksville, TN 37040). A celebration of life was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Concord Missionary Baptist Church (2411 Peachers Mill Rd, Clarksville, TN 37042).
