She was predeceased by: her husband Jerrold Akin; and her nephew Jody Lee Majors. She is survived by: her granddaughter Nevaeh Cook; her siblings, Lawrence Underwood (Debbie), Nancy Dickson and Maria Underwood; her daughter Jennifer Cook; and her close friend Judy Morrison. She is also survived by several friends and co-workers.
