He was predeceased by: his parents, Lester Seay Burkhart and Floree Steiner; his former wives, Karen Lee Burkhart and Marla Guthrie Burkhart; and his siblings, Edith Hinderliter, Etha Atkins and Lester Burkhart, Jr..
He is survived by: his wife Janice; his children, Keith Burkhart (Rita), Duane Burkhart (Angie), Alan Burkhart (Rhonda), Todd Pugh, Vanessa Kerley, Anita Britch (Ethan), Cheryl Haley (Joey) and Heather Thornell (Mick); and his sister Janice Smith. He is also survived by 21 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren.
