She was predeceased by: her parents, Luther Rittenberry and Lilly Rittenberry; her husband Ernest Motes; her sons, John Motes and James Motes; and her siblings, David, Robert, Nannie and Ollie Bell.
She is survived by: her children, Janie Gauthier (Larry), Annie Mae Motes, Joe Ann Newman and Betty Hughes (John); and her siblings, Martha and Jean. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 10 great- grandchildren, 9 great great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, December 11th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Thursday, December 12th 2024 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Sykes Funeral Home (424 Franklin St, Clarksville, TN 37040). A celebration of life was held on Thursday, December 12th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, December 12th 2024 at the Riverview Cemetery (635 N Spring St, Clarksville, TN 37040).
