She was predeceased by: her husband Gilbert Hershel "Pete" Johnson; her daughter Joyce Johnson; and her siblings, Thurman, Charles, Marvin, John Crawford, Madolyn Conatser and Imogene Lokey.
She is survived by: her children, Brenda Epps (William), Roy D. Johnson, Bobby Joe Johnson (Lori) and Jeffery Dean Johnson (Tish); her grandchildren, Stacy Steelman, Kenny Epps, Kelly Lane, Adrienne Johnson and Brian Johnson; and her siblings, Kenneth Crawford and Edna McWhorter. She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren, eight great-great-grandchildren.
