She was predeceased by: her parents, Mark Puckett and Thelma Puckett; her children, Gloria Hill and John Spears; and her siblings, Bettie Wright Black and J. W. Puckett.
She is survived by: her husband Howard Spears; and her children, William "Ed" Brown, Jr. (Tracey) and Cheryl Thomas (Kindal). She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and 4 great- great -grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Margie's memory to Spring Creek Baptist Church.
