She was predeceased by: her parents, James "Barbee" Cross and Mary Louise Snorton Cross; her husband Roy Thomas Bowers; and her siblings, Walter, Willie, James, Waverly Cross and Martha Jane.
She is survived by: her children, Sheryl Bowers Messenger, Jacqueline Franklin, Jennifer Smith, Sakenna Harrison, Daryl T. Bowers and Adrian J. Bowers; her grandchildren, Shawn Messenger and Shaina Messenger; her sisters-in-law, Mary Louise Cross, Evon Cross and Edna Mathis Cross; and her friend Dorothy Jean Toliver. She is also survived by her children and grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 6:00 PM and on Saturday, February 15th 2025 at 11:00 AM. A celebration of life was held on Saturday, February 15th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Christ the Healer Church (1295 Paradise Hill Rd, Clarksville, TN 37040).
