He was predeceased by: his parents, Lille May Mason Rittenberry and Luther Rockefeller Rittenberry; and his siblings, Ollie Gant, Nannie Harrison, Robert Rittenberry and David Rittenberry.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Virginia Brake Seay; his sisters, Jean Cardinal, Mary Motes and Martha Jones; his daughter Marjorie Searcy (George); his grandchildren, Theresia Burchett (Eddie), Kim Robertson (Doyle), Mallory Dawson (Steven), Jordy Searcy (Michel) and Liam Searcy (Brooke); his great grandchild Imogen Dawson; and his grandchildren, Cal Burchett (Laura), Mary Beth Meyer (Jeff), Caroline Wilson (Elijah), Whitney Johns (J. J.) and Kallie Robertson. He is also survived by his family and friends.
