He was predeceased by: his parents, John W. Carney, Sr. and Della Johnson Carney; and his wife Emily. He is survived by: his children, Julia Elizabeth Carney of Arlington, VA and John Wesley Carney, III; his sister Carol Carney Clay; and his siblings-in-law, Margaret Nelle Utley and William "Bill" C. Martin (Nashville).
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the First Baptist Church (435 Madison St, Clarksville, TN 37040). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 21st 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
