He was predeceased by: his brother Emmett Lee Schmitt. He is survived by: his sisters, Yvonne Traylor, Annette McWhorter and Yvette Barton; and his nieces and nephews, Shawn Benson, Tim Benson, Thomas Higgins, Daniel Sackett, Chris Higgins, Buddy Gainous, Kathy Brickner and Rebecca McWhorter. He is also survived by great-nieces, great-nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the McReynolds-Nave & Larson Funeral Home (1209 Madison St, Clarksville, TN 37040). A celebration of life was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
