She was predeceased by: her father Rudy Belle Burgess; her husband Ernest Leon "Wink" Bennett; and her sisters, Aileen Hampton and Beatrice Leslie. She is survived by: her children, Teresa Bennett (David Bryant) and Mark Anthony Bennett (Kristie); and her grandchildren, Issac Carter (Alicia), Marti Smith (Jason), Jeri Lynn King (David) and Grayson Bennett. She is also survived by five great grandchildren.
