She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Lester Dykes and Mary Sellers Dykes; her grandparents, Carson and Roxie Jones Dykes; her children, Bryan Short (Cristina), Eddie Short (Linda), Joey Short, Jerome Short (Crystal) and Darlene Franklin (Doug); her grandchildren, Matthew Franklin, BJ Short, Jalen Short, Zeke Short, Odessa Short, Chelsi Brightside and Griffin Short; her great grandchildren, Scarlet Short, Jayden Mitchell and Cayden Mitchell; and her siblings, Larry, Pat Dykes, Charles Dykes, Sue Durham and Phyllis Dyer. She was also cherished by several nieces and nephews.
