He is survived by: his father Bob Purkey; his son Matt Purkey (Melanie); his grandchildren, Knox, Arabella, Dalton Purkey and Evan Tate; and his aunt Pat Francis (Robert). He is also survived by several aunts, uncles, cousins, and many dear friends.
