He was predeceased by: his parents, Claude Dean and Nellie Dean. He is survived by: his wife Margaret Byington Dean; his stepchildren, Virginia Byington Winstead (Steven) and Verlie Byington Jr. (Sonja); his adoptive son Jackie Tipton (Frankie); his grandchildren, Michael Bud Byington, Nicholas Byington Winstead, Logan J. Byington, Alicia and Tina; and his brothers, Bobby Jack Dean and Opie Dean. He is also survived by six great grandchildren.
