He was predeceased by: his parents, Garnie Christian and Pauline Christian; and his wife Sonya Russell Christian. He is survived by: his stepson Mark Newland; his grandson Ryan Newland; his sister Susie Honeycutt; and also Jessica Newland.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the National Parkinsons Disease Foundation in Neal's name.
