He is survived by: his wife Darilyn Smith; his children, Michael Smith, Sarah Border (Ben), Ashley Kennedy (Joe), Russell Ter Hark, Edward Smith, Jr. (Krista) and Gregory Smith; his grandchildren, Ariana, Colin, Eli, Sabrina, Elexus, Haley, Octavia, Evan, Lorali, Annamarie, Kyla, Russell, Jr., Alexzander and EJ; and his siblings, Elsie Ashpaugh (Arthur) and Dwayne Smith. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
