He was predeceased by: his parents, Rev. Floyd D. and Mary Gilley Smith; his children, Chenoa Conklin (Brian) and Michael Smith (Christina Strong); his grandchildren, Willow Shelton, Jorah Smith, Melody and Peirson Strong; and his siblings, Stanley Smith, Paula Pope (Larry) and Krista Smith.

A Memorial Service to celebrate Dennis' Life will be held at a later date once the COVID-19 restrictions have been lifted.
