He was predeceased by: his parents, Fonnie Puckett and Lizzie Puckett (Thompson); his siblings, Kathleen Puckett and Rev. Ronald Puckett; and his nephew Shannon Rhoton.

He is survived by: his wife Sue Puckett; his daughters, Kim Lee (Johnny) and Christine Burke (Adam) of Kingsport, TN; his grandchildren, Derrick Bowen (Jessica), Sabrina Sawyer, Dalton Sawyer, Ashtin Burke, Haley Burke and Brandon Lee; his great grandchildren, Gabe Lee, Mckiuh Johnson, Mickey Johnson, Riley Bowen, Maddox Johnson, Ezruh Ashworth, Krestley Lee and Maverick Burke; his niece Brenda Rhoton; his nephew Ronnie Puckett; and his close friend Dorton.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, everyone planning to attend the services at the funeral home and cemetery are asked to wear a face covering and practice social distancing.
