He was predeceased by: his wife Wilma Jean Broyles Tarlton; his parents, Rufus Tarlton and Bonnie Tarlton; his brother Robert Tarlton; his sister-in-law Geraldine Tarlton Bowens; his sisters, Dorothy Waites and Bertha (Jack Jennings); and his brothers-in-law, Paul Herbert "Hook" Hensley and Cecil Broyles.
He is survived by: his son Tim; his daughter-in-law Pam Tarlton; his daughter Jan Johnson; his son-in-law Keith Dyar; his grandchildren, Katie Tarlton, Abby Johnson and Stephanie Johnson; his great grandchild J'layah McDonald; his sister Pearl Hensley; his brother-in-law James Waites; and his nephew Richard.
