She was predeceased by: her parents, Hurley Bowman and Flora Bowman (Kenneth Metcalf); her daughter Jamie Darlene Shelton; her grandson Dylan Swift; and her sisters, Marcella Reynolds, Betty Grindstaff, Bertha Landers, Joann Greene, Wanda Shelton, Barbara Belt and Linda Cutshaw.
She is survived by: her daughters, Della Shelton and Lois Shelton; her stepchildren, Ken Metcalf and Stacy Metcalf; her grandchildren, Brandy Ball of Jackie, Ball, Heather, Monty Beck, Joey, Shawndra, Brittany Shelton, Ciera, Bronson Winters, Tekisha, Brock Epps, Natasha Shelton, Haley Guinn, Lorin, Todd Reynolds, Brent Shelton, Whitney, Cody Sayers, Austin Summey, Elizabeth Shelton, Taylor Shelton, Braxstin Roberts, Eian Knight, Austin Metcalf, Cody Metcalf and Brittney Metcalf; her sister Mary Bowman; and her close friends, Linda Thompson and Brenda Reaves. She is also survived by 17 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, April 18th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, April 19th 2025 at 10:00 AM. A funeral service was held on Friday, April 18th 2025 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Jeffers Funeral Home (101 Graceland Ln, Afton, TN 37616). A graveside service will be held on Saturday, April 19th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Graceland Memorial Gardens (101 Graceland Ln, Afton, TN 37616).
