He was predeceased by: his son Eric Pickering; his stepson Adam Hamilton; his parents, Buford Pickering and Mildred Pickering Erwin; and his stepfather Gene Erwin.
He is survived by: his sister Judy; his brother-in-law Charlie Gfellers of Chuckey; his pet Fancy; his cousins, Joy Tweed (Roger) of Greeneville, Diane Pickering of Kokomo, IN and Jill Pickering of Kokomo, IN; and his close friends, Darrell Gosnell, Kenny, Step Bowlin, Athena Giftos, Patty Thornton and Pat Roberts.
