She was predeceased by: her parents, Maude Jeffers Taylor and James Carl Taylor; her stepmother Leona Rector Taylor; her former husbands, Clarence Charlton and George H. Light; and her son James Allen Charlton.

She is survived by: her daughter Maudenia Charlton Ryan (Roy) of Chuckey; her grandchildren, Nickie (Darrell Odom) and James Keysmith; and her great grandchild Zack Odom.
