She is survived by: her mother Evangelynn Wilson Nixten of Smyrna; her husband Emerito Rivera, Jr.; her children, Sarah Reyer (Brandon) of Mt, Juliet, Alena Rivera of Christiana and David Rivera of Michigan; her grandchildren, Falicidey Rivera, Drayden Rivera and Harmony Rivera; and her siblings, Debra Staggs of Alabama, Marie Myrick of Alabama, Gaylene Shipp of Alabama, Allen Wilson of Smyrna and Tim Purdy of Alabama.
