He is survived by : his children, Amy Shaffer, Amanda Shaffer and James Shaffer; his grandsons, Andrew Cunningham and Robby Cunningham; and his siblings, Sandy Tilly, Peggy Kennedy and Frank Shaffer.

Visitation was held on Friday, June 14th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Murfreesboro Funeral Home (145 Innsbrooke Blvd, Murfreesboro, TN 37128).
