She was predeceased by: her siblings, Opal Peters, Annie Houser, Freida Mathis, Cecil Houser, E. J. Houser, Vernon Houser and Estell Houser.
She is survived by: her husband Bill Steele; her daughter Angela Grime (Dan) of Ringgold, GA; and her sisters, Juanita Brooks of Birmingham, AL and Lila Cromwell. She is also survived by many nieces & nephews.
A resident of Chattanooga since 1955, Mrs. Steele retired from Caldsted Foundation after many years of service.
