It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Willie Newson (Chattanooga, Tennessee), born in Whitesburg, Georgia, who passed away on July 22, 2021, at the age of 94, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John Newson and Arsula Newson; and his wife Ivola Newson. He is survived by: his sisters, Mattie L. Jordan and Emma Pearl Hines; and his children, Susie A. Mingo (Gary), Sylvia A. Newson, Willie C. Newson of Chattanooga, Johnny R. Newson of Chattanooga and Timothy C. Newson (Sharon) of Chattanooga. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 37 great grandchildren; 7 great-great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
