He was predeceased by: his wife Arta "Artie" J. Payne Overton. He is survived by: his children, Steve R. Overton and Wanda Pope; his grandchildren, Billy, Courtney Muekalia (Domingos), Kirk McKenzie (Melanie) and Brian Pope (Johanna); his great grandchildren, Joshua McKenzie (Kelsey) and Marie; and his sister Wynell Woodham. He is also survived by many nieces & nephews.
