He was predeceased by: his parents, Leroy Phillips and Ruby Mae Humphreys Phillips; and his siblings, Alice Mae Stinnett, Thedna Ann Crisp, Leroy Phillips Jr. and Billy Joe Phillips.
He is survived by: his wife Alice Marie Wooten Phillips; his sons, Christopher Michael Phillips (Alyson) and John Derek Phillips (Jenny); his sisters, Shirley Harmon and Diane Shelton; and his grandson Caleb Michael Phillips. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Heritage Funeral Home and Cremation Services (7454 E Brainerd Rd, Chattanooga, TN 37421). A funeral service was held on Thursday, February 20th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to The Dementia Society of America in Jack's Honor.
