He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Linda Faye Scoggins Varnell; his daughter Mary Grace Varnell Jubb (James Christian Jubb); his grandchildren, James Benjamin Jubb and Thomas William Jubb; his son Daniel Allen Varnell (Sarah Elizabeth); his grandchildren, Grace Margaret Varnell, Allison Suzanne Varnell and Elizabeth Allen Varnell; his son James "Jimmy" Larry Varnell (Aaron James Fisher); his cousin James "Jimmy" Hart Varnell (Doris Jo Varnell); his parents, Dr. William Daniel "W. D." and Nellie Pauline Condra Varnell; and his parents-in-law, Allen Fort Scoggins and Edna Grace Browder Scoggins.
