We are sad to announce that on October 8, 2024, at the age of 88, Wendell Herman Swafford of Chattanooga, Tennessee passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, John Swafford and Lou Swafford; and his siblings, Carlos Swafford, Johnnie Martin, Lecile Thurman, Edna Thurman, Glines Thurman, Billie Roberts, Mildred Griffith and Wilma Griffith.

He is survived by: his wife Mary Lou Swafford; his son Mike Swafford (Judy); his grandchildren, Bryan Swafford, Jamie Swafford (A. D.), Kinzie Hale and Kayla Roach; and his sister-in-law Margaret Harris. He is also survived by nine great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
