It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Wayne Shirk (Chattanooga, Tennessee), born in McPherson, Kansas, who passed away on March 5, 2019, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Doris Shirk; his children, Carolyn Funderburk (Randall), Stephen Shirk (Bonnie) and James Shirk (Sandra); his sister Donna Bell; and his grandchildren, Thomas Funderburk (Priya), Logan Funderburk, Tanner Shirk (Kelly), Hunter Shirk, Talbot Shirk, Owen Shirk (Mary Rachel) and Anna Shirk.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his honor to First Lutheran Church, 2800 McCallie Avenue or Hospice of Chattanooga, 4411 Oakwood Drive.
