He was predeceased by: his parents, Beth Crowley Hardy and Homer Hardy; his sister Mary Zelia King; his nephew Douglas King; and also Shirley Kennedy Hardy.

He is survived by: his wife Shirley Kennedy; his daughters, Jan Hardy Fanslow (Robert) and Kay Baker (David); his grandchildren, Caroline Helton (Nick) and David Hardy Baker (Ella); and his great grandchild Walker Gates Baker.

In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to the First Presbyterian Church of Chattanooga World Missions fund in Warren's memory.
