He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter A. Lerch, Jr. and Virginia Guth Lerch; and his grandparents, Walter A. Lerch, Sr., Elizabeth Thomas Lerch, James Robert and Evelyn McDonald Guth.
He is survived by: his siblings, Jane Ann Laub (Robert) of Nashville, TN and Robert Reid Lerch of Breckenridge, CO; his nephews, Joseph Laub (Rachel) of Brookline, MA and Michael Laub; his aunt Shirley Guth Evans of Hixson, TN; and his cousins, Lee Thomas, Dee Menefee (Greg) and Christine Gardner (Chris) of Southern Shores, NC..
