He was predeceased by: his daughter Vanessa Bentley; his parents, Thomas Florence and Shermine Smith Florence; his sister Beverly Florence Cox; and his nephew Ethan Florence.
He is survived by: his wife Darlene Florence; his children, Andrew Florence (Dora) and Veronica Florence; his siblings, Michael Florence (Mary), William Florence (Diane), Matthew Florence and Rebecca Osaigbovo (Uwaifo); and his son-in-law Corry Bentley. He is also survived by four grandchildren; sixteen nieces and nephews.
