She was predeceased by: her husband Marvin Thompson; her parents, Robert Bailey, Sr. and Louise Avery Bailey; and her siblings, Della Mae Rutledge, Pearl Clemons Lewis, Georgette Hawkins and Kenny Bailey.
She is survived by: her sons, Nelson Hinton and Edward Hinton (Paula); her stepchildren, Doris Ann Jackson, Yvonne Jones, LouBertha Gibbs and Lisa Rena Rowe; her brothers, Hansel Bailey, Robert Bailey, Jr. (Hattie) and Casper Bailey; and her sister-in-law Etta Herkley. She is also survived by grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
