He was predeceased by: his parent Thomas (Hilda Frere); and his sister Cathy Frere Morgan of Outer Banks. He is survived by: his wife Melanie Cunningham; his daughter Courtney; his son-in-law Bryan Arrington; his son Ron Frere, Jr.; his daughter-in-law Rose Frere; his grandchildren, James, Jacob Arrington of Hixson, Ronnie, Joshua and Kate Frere of Marietta Georgia; his brother Robert Frere (Marlene) of Hampton, Virginia; and his brothers-in-law, Ronald (Sharon Cunningham) and Sanford A. Cunningham, III of Chattanooga. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
