He was predeceased by: his parents, Feliciano Lagutin and Praxides Alvar Lagutin; and his brother Nilo Lagutin. He is survived by: the mother of his children Teresita Benin-Currier; his children, Ella Cowden (David), El Lagutin (Jennifer) and Lyn Darling; his grandchildren, Austin Cowden (Gabby), Hunter Price (Mia Ivakhova), Tori Price, Jackson Cowden, Lucy Lagutin, Rolly Lagutin, Nick Darling and Anna Darling; and his sisters, Flordeliza Lopez, Edith Amarille and Emma Penaso.
He loved serving on medical missions to the Philippines and founded Mutia Health Center Foundation.
