He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Earl and Mattye Tucker Spalding. He is survived by: his wife Janice Hipps Spalding; his sons, Robert Spalding, Jr. (Gina) and Stephen (Denise); his stepsons, Robert Reece, Jr. (Sharon) and Jeff Reece (Marianne); his grandchildren, Katherine Spalding, Alexandra, Nicholas Spalding, Cory Trent (Ashley), Caroline, Catie and James Reece; and his great grandchildren, Tucker Graves and Bradley Trent.
