With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Robert Dean McCashin (Chattanooga, Tennessee), who passed away on August 5, 2023 at the age of 74. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his former wife Charlie; his parents, C. E. McCashin and Frances D. McCashin; and his brother George E. McCashin. He is survived by: his siblings, C. R. "Rick" McCashin (Ellen) and Alice McCashin Jenkins (Daniel); his sister-in-law Cindy McCashin (George); his niece Rebecca E. McCashin; and his nephew Neill T. Everhart.

“My sincere condolences to you all. Bob and Charlie were such dear friends to my wife and I when we were students at Texas Wesleyan. Back then Bob wanted to learn to shoot pool and suggested that in return for helping him learn he would teach me to play golf. I got the better end of that arrangement because I sold my cue and bought a cheap set of clubs. We played together often. He will be missed.”
