He was predeceased by: his parents, Bennie Atchley and Marie Atchley; and his siblings, Frances Gualandri, Bennie Atchley Jr. (Billy) and Charles Atchley.
He is survived by: his wife Myra Lee Nelson Atchley; his children, Robert Scott Atchley (Terri), Shelia Taylor (Larry) and Kelle Smith (Steve); his grandchildren, Jessica Duvall (Mike), Hunter Taylor (Haley), Taylor Cox, Sydney Fields (Stanton) and Paxton Smith; and his great grandchildren, Hudson Lee Duvall and Ellington Taylor. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, April 6th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Monday, April 7th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Heritage Funeral Home and Cremation Services (7454 E Brainerd Rd, Chattanooga, TN 37421). A funeral service will be held on Monday, April 7th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the same location.
