He is survived by: his children, Alayne Griffin (Jonathan) and Robert Elder, III (Linda); his granddaughters, Bethany Sexton (Jamie), Alyssa Griffin and Melody Downey (Matthew); his great grandchildren, Beckett, Wendell, Evander Sexton and Wolfric Downey; his niece Pam Fuller (Doug); and his nephew Phil Mims (Terri).
