Rick Smith Obituary

We are sad to announce that on November 11, 2020, at the age of 68, Rick Smith (Chattanooga, Tennessee) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred R. Smith, Sr. and Hazel Brogan Smith. He is survived by: his brothers, Allen Smith of Hutchinson and Mike Smith of High Point.

There will be no service due to COVID, but his family asks that donations be directed to Hospice of Chattanooga and American Cancer Society.

“I met Rick in 2003 while living in Chattanoooga and working for the American Heart Association. He was a volunteer, leading the Heart Walk campaign for the school district. Rick was always gracious, kind and really fun to work with. He had a great sense of humor. I moved away then back again and ran into him. Again, he was so kind to me.
