It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Richard Lynn Patterson of Chattanooga, Tennessee, who passed away on July 10, 2024, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. As Richard departs from this earthly realm, his essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Richard may no longer walk beside us, his spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Richard leaves behind.
He was predeceased by: his son Richard Adam Patterson. He is survived by: his parents, Charles Clifton Patterson and Sylvia Joyce Salmons Patterson; his brother Jerry Patterson (JoAnn); his aunt Betty Winston; his niece Jenna Gadd (Chris); his cousins, Tyra Jordan (Don), Chad Jordan, Cambrey and Landon Ware; and his friend Darlene Hayes. He is also survived by several other extended family members and friends.
