He was predeceased by: his sister Merle Smith. He is survived by: his wife Mary Michael Foster; his children, Matthew Foster (Jennifer), Adam Foster (Julie) and Caroline Foster; his grandchildren, Mills Foster, Ellie Foster, Hayes Foster and Molly Foster; his brother-in-law Norman Smith; his niece Robyn Van Zyl; and his nephew Tim Smith.
